Coleoptera, commonly known as beetles, represent the most diverse group of insects currently known. Numerous projects in Cusuco National Park have produced interesting specimens of beautiful species. The main difficulty of identifying these in the field is the lack of a constant knowledge base as we rarely have the same staff over different years. This is an attempt to pool the knowledge accrued by more than 10 years of Opwall expeditions, the resulting science behind them, and external sources relavent to CNP.
